Mubasher: The US dollar on Wednesday fell against the major currencies after oil prices rose and boosted several of them.
By 12:53 pm GMT, the US dollar index decreased by 0.24% to 93.0370, while the EUR/USD pair rose 0.29% to 1.1892 and the GBP/USD grew 0.36% to 1.3422.
The dollar also stood at 113.26 against the Japanese yen and at 0.9897 against the Swiss franc.
Oil prices ended Tuesday’s session at their highest level since June 2015, as Nymex crude futures reached $59.97 per barrel, while Brent crude recorded $66.76 per barrel.
Consumer confidence and pending home sales reports are due later in the day.
